ASG-Cypress Knowledge Builder is a document search and retrieval solution that integrates with ASG-Cypress’ innovative database technology. It enables users to find, view, and use the content contained in any document created in their business, regardless of the source platform or application. It eliminates the need for multiple document archiving systems and search engines.
ASG-Cypress’ visionary technology permits enterprises to archive billions of documents, yet enables individuals or groups to access and distribute any page of any document – instantly. Unlike other archiving systems, which archive documents in their original applications – such as Microsoft® Word or Excel – ASG-Cypress archives the content in a format that enables fast access and retrieval at the page level. Users can quickly access all or part of a document, and extract what is, in effect, a facsimile of it, with 100% fidelity. In other words, with exactly the same content and “look and feel” as the original.
Using ASG-Cypress Knowledge Builder is similar to using a Web-based search engine or Internet directory. Users can also create “prepared” queries that are easy to implement, but are based on a complex set of search instructions.
ASG-Cypress Knowledge Builder enables an organization to eliminate multiple archiving systems and search engines with a common solution that gives users access to all documents created in an enterprise, regardless of what platform they were created on (e.g., mainframe, UNIX®, AS/400®, Windows®). Documents are located using a keyword (or string) and viewed without the need to access the original authoring application – in seconds. Features include:
