Personal Imaging Module
The ASG-Cypress Personal Imaging Module gives users the ability to capture scanned content from any workstation-attached scanner in the organization. It can also directly import any existing TIFF, JPG, GIF, PNG, and BMP images. The ASG-Cypress Personal Imaging Module does more than simply extract OCR content from scanned documents and provide a place to store imported images. It gives users the power to easily add context to images in relation to the rest of an organization’s business documents.
Organizations are empowered with the ability to create intuitive drop-down menu options that govern how images and scanned documents are indexed, distributed, and retrieved. The ASG-Cypress Personal Imaging Module can also be plugged into Web portals to give all employees the tools they need to improve business processes. When employees scan or import images obtained from the field, they do so using the Web access to first review the quality of the image, and then to classify it in relation to contracts, projects, and other criteria important to their business. Classification is completed in seconds through a simple point-and-click index tree that requires no technical ability to use. From the point of capture on, images and documents appear in search results together, so valuable content can never become lost or hard-to-find.
The ASG-Cypress Personal Imaging Module gives organizations the ability to integrate complicated internal document assembly and distribution processes with externally generated documents. For example, a one-click option can release an image to ASG-Cypress, which can then automatically bundle the image with pages from reports and other documents. The bundle can then be delivered to department managers, printers, e-mail addresses, fax numbers, etc., as well as to external customers. Features include:
- Captures images in batches from desktop scanners, e-mail messages, and storage devices
- Integrates paper and e-docs into a single archive
- Provides automated and ad-hoc desktop faxing (both inbound and outbound)
- Eliminates costly fax-only applications and hardware
- Delivers inbound faxes as an e-mail notification (including a hyperlink)
